Ham recipes

Cooked ham

1. Wash the ham in lukewarm water and let it soak for a half day to a day.
2. Start cooking in cold water, just as much so the water completely covers the ham.
3. Cook for approximately 3-4 hours.
4. When the ham has gotten soft, turn off the cooker and let it cool down in the water.
5. Pour off the water (do not throw away), and store the ham in a cold place. You may re-use the water you cooked the ham in, it will give a special taste to hard boiled eggs. You can also use it to flavor soups or broths.
