Hungarian tripe stew (Pacalpörkölt)Ingredients1 kg precooked tripe2 large onion (diced in 3-4 mm squares) 4-5 garlic cloves (crushed) 2 tbsp Hungarian paprika powder 1 tbsp pork fat, or vegetable oil 1/2 tsp ground black pepper salt Instructions1. In a pressure cooker heat the pork fat.2. Sauté the onion dices until golden brown. 3. Sprinkle with Hungarian paprika. 4. Add the tripe strips and stir it well. 5. Add 200 ml water, salt and close the pressure cooker. 6. Cook about 50 minutes and open the cooker. 7. Add the ground black pepper and the crushed garlic cloves. 8. Add 50 ml water and close the cooker. 9. Cook tender. previous next |
