Roasted liver (Resztelt máj)

1 kg pork liver pieces, 1/4 cup pork fat
3-4 onions
3 tbsp lecso
2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika powder
1 tsp salt
ground black pepper

Heat the fat in a pan. Fry the finely chopped onions till golden brown, add the paprika and the liver pieces. Cook about 10 minutes. Now add a half cup of water and cook 15 minutes. Add the lecso (Hungarian pepper stew). Cook 5 minutes and add the salt and the ground black pepper. Serve with rice or crispy bread.
